The next big milestone of my photography career was made possible by web3, when @johnknopf helped organize the Foto Gallery during NFT NYC, and asked me to submit three of my photos to be displayed at the @superchief in New York. Ke’e Tower and The Survivor were two of the images I chose. This was an absolutely epic day, with my images on display with some of the legends of photography!

Ah, that’s not what I said. I heard they moved to NFT 365 or something, as a virtual/online event. I’m not sure there is anything planned for NFT NYC in 2025.

That's the rumor... I haven't seen anything about an event next year, and when you visit the website, that seems to be what it's promoting.

So, this is the interesting part of the discussion, but I would agree that artists aren't paying the conference fees for the most part, but I do think they bring in a number of other groups, from investors to projects, that do pay for the networking opportunities a conference provides. The wrinkle is that the artists typically participated, and were invited to events that also gave them the chance to connect with these individuals, many of whom collect art. So it's a little disappointing to hear that there may not be an event in 2025. I guess we'll see.
