I’m not from Hawaii either, but lived there longer than I’ve lived anywhere else. You don’t have to be from Hawaii to “talk story” though… it’s just part of the culture. 

We’re headed back home in a few weeks and I am excited for those winter waves on Oahu’s North Shore and we’ll get over to Kauai for a few days too.

I actually forget about /talkstory but i joined there as a member from Day 1
