A super rare early shot of RL74 from just before the pandemic… she doesn’t have a nickname because she wasn’t born on Oahu, but showed up at less than a year old on the North Shore. That would put her on track to potentially have her first pup later this year.

No, just salty fur… I took a photo of her a few months later, and she almost looked yellow. 🤙🏼💙🦭

We do get seals with what we call “natural bleach” marks, which is a white door, of varying size, in their fur. With such a small population, those marks can make seals very easy to identify.
