I Took a Photo!

ITAP of a baby monk seal... I'm back in Hawaii on #MonkSealMonday, and typically the winter is the time for big waves and whales, but I've heard through the coconut wireless that we do have a fairly new monk seal pup on the island (I'm not sure exactly how old yet), which is unusual this time of year.

Monk seal pup season is usually described as May to September, and most of our pups are born in that window... but the reality is they can pup any time of year. Hopefully, I'll have a chance to photograph the newest member of the Hawaiian monk seal family while we're in the islands.
