Much like the whales returning to Hawaii waters, this is the time of year when albatross return to their nesting colonies on Oahu and Kauai, and these majestic birds can be seen flying out over the waves.

Yep, my wife and I love to hike out and spend hours with the Ka’ena Point colony… don’t think I’ll get there in December. Not sure I’ll be ready for that kind of distance.

Yep, walking 500’ three times a day, up from 100’ just a few days ago. A couple weeks of this, and I can move to 1000’ three times a day. 🤣

In all seriousness, the recovery is going better than expected so far, and I had some concerns because I’m much older than when I had my last major knee surgery in 2008.

Hang in there Jason. Take of yourself and get better soon.
