that def seems right if you’re trying to build something enduring if you’re building something episodic or something intentionally ephemeral then honing the product and optimizing for a viral spike might be a better approach

Totally agree. For me I’m trying to figure out how to sift through early signals - feedback, early opinions etc. What frameworks have you found most useful when making the early decisions around a product’s direction?

This struggle is perennial it seems. I've seen and tried so many approaches. If I could list the considerations, they would be: 0. Know how to reach early adopters 1. Speak to early adopters 2. Know what you want to learn from launch 3. Set expectations early 4. Prepare to iterate fast

Strong agree tbh - often times I just paraphrase it as "fail fast". Seen so many founders in this space manage to build fast and ship often, but they're never ready for the fact that most things in this space (read: every space) tend to fail. Learn from it, pick yourself up, onto the next build. 100 $degen

the data feedback loop is strong in consumer apps to do so. b2b on the other hand - so much researching before picking stuff in sprints. Feedback cycles too slow..
