When folks see grift, insidership, and and opportunism prevalent in ETH ecosystem, they often tend to swing the pendulum hard in the other direction and end up in the domain of donationism and non-profitism, thinking that is the most pro-ETH strategy. 

They miss the subtle middle ground, where network-oriented tokenized revenues can thrust projects sustainably forward. ETH should champion great revenue models, not run from them.

The @ethereumR1 team is running a Telegram vote to decide whether to drop the 1% base fee contribution to Taiko DAO. To be honest, I’m not happy about it.
