The difference between Farcaster and FriendTech is that speculation is not the focus.

The network is sufficiently compelling first and speculative opportunities emerge as a result.

friendtech got the incentives wrong imo. FT incentivizes whales and liquidity more than it does social activity, contributions or merit. i don't think the average person is excited to participate (or farm rewards) on FT if they can't earn points without throwing a ton of money around

Largely agreed - different tradeoffs for sure.

FT made 100x more in fees than FC.

FC feels like it has more organic foundation which results in better social.

Fwiw I'm still bullish FT V2 and think there will be a vibrant community there headed into this next cycle.
