the way i create is based on intention and intuition. i choose a concept or state of being to express first, feel into it physically, then tune inward to intuitively see what the piece will look like

as an artist, income streams can be iffy at times. as an artist with complex chronic illness, they can be even more challenging, so getting paid for just participating is a huge deal. on days i can’t get out of bed i can still post, and i enjoy the interactions greatly—i’d do it for free, but to feel appreciated for being here is something no social app has ever provided

i received a very special gift yesterday. an artist friend recently passed, and his partner gifted me my favourite painting of his from their house. it’s impossible to explain how much it means to me

profoundly affected by his experiences as a child in WWII belgrade, so much of his work is filled with conflict and darkness. but this one just feels heavenly to me. deeply honoured to welcome this painting into my collection

I painted this 60x60” commission in the summer of 2020. @marlo & I were living in our motorhome during the early pandemic, and we stayed near Tofino for a few weeks after I delivered and installed the work. I appreciate how the mood of the place and the sense of isolation are captured in this painting
