Alright tennis friends. What should I do if I usually play doubles but need to start playing singles in the spring? Looking for workout routines, practice schedules, anything!

you need to drill on hitting for depth consistently as well as your approach shots. 3.5, right? Keep your opponent on the move left to right, look for that short ball to come in and put away. Singles is going to be way more physically taxing vs. doubles, you're going to want to wear your opponent out.

You'll want to work on being solid on your ground strokes from the baseline when moving (they'll be employing the same tactics on you). Fitness will be key, do high hr intervals for cardio. Core work goes a long way too. Helps you maintain form and stability when tired.

This is great advice - thank you! My groundstrokes are my strength but I'm thinking I need to work on placement since the down the line shot comes up pretty often in singles. Thinking I should sign up for Orange Theory to get a ton of cardio reps in, the only exercise I do is tennis clinics 😬
