You guys ever give coaching to friends in the gym and get an eat shit look from trainers? I worked with a buddy on his squat form today and kept getting disapproving looks from a trainer that was there doing his own workout. I promise my guidance was not hack trash.

good question, I was not. my buddy has two main problems, he's not getting proper depth partially because of his feet and knee position and he's coming out of the hole by releasing his hips way ahead of his shoulders. we worked on form at 135, and I went over how to do a front squat with him too.

He was probably giving you the stink eye because you were prescribing front squats, one of the most painful exercises πŸ˜‚

Trainers and others that do stuff like this for a living are sensitive to seeing all kinds of bad technique being taught. Imagine you spent your life studying something you are obsessed with. Then a bunch of tictocks pretend to be gurus on your subject and mislead everyone. Nothing against you they are over sensitive
