I do it. It helps strengthen my knees when i am dealing with patellar pain, and works the tibialas something, muscle that wraps around the front of the shin. I’m very gastroc and soleus developed and have been getting shin splints. This keeps it in check.

Give it a try, focus on pushing through extension and roll up on the heel toes up. It works your quads a bit too. I do 20 degrees at a speed of 1.5.
