If you had to add a rule to chess to make it more interesting, what would it be? 

I’d say if you land 2 of your matching pieces on a square you combine them into one more powerful piece. Eg both knights -> rook. Both rooks -> queen

Yea in a super closed game you might prefer the knights over another rook, but might want a second queen to break through or something. Not sure how it would go in practice. Wonder if you can program lichess to add wacky rules

Interesting, I guess that king is usually the one that’s down in the game. But I do like that you still need to checkmate to win - kinda like tennis where you can’t just rely on them messing up, you still have to play to win when winning

Stalemate = loss for the king that can’t move.

What an inspiring question for me.... I haven't got a clue as I don't play chess. There is sometime in chess that my /dyslexia brain struggles with. However maybe a super cool board with more colours, chess is so black and white right?
