NOUNS - i am looking for an obsessed expert on the project. Why: Nouns is the best daily auction in the history of crypto, so there is a lot to be learned from their success as I'm working on bootstrapping qrcoin.fun. But 4 years in, the current state of their auctions is a bit odd. Basically, there is a low, single-digit number of bids on average each day, but the floor for the winning bid is set by a few people who regularly place bids around 2 ETH. For example, 11 of the last 13 auctions have been won by the same person and the other 2 had no winner because there were no bids. The floor for the collection on OpenSea is 3 ETH but there are only 5 listed for sale and the best offer on the collection when i started drafting this cast was only 0.5 ETH (a higher one for 1.89 ETH just came in). I would be curious to discuss with someone who has the cultural context and ideally has been in the loop for a long time on nouns. Thanks!

Nouns auctions have been getting botted by the same group since like October so maybe not the best case study for recent months unfortunately :/

Yes and yes. A group of anons Would start by saying I’m on the opposite end of the spectrum from them so I’m sure there’s other takes on what’s going on They claim they’re trying to “fix” nouns from our “financial struggles” (didn’t know we had any) by denying any props that surpass the 30day auction earnings. Meanwhile slamming no votes on pretty much every prop, not letting anyone win auctions (very very few exceptions), and have gathered up enough nouns that they overrule all active voters combined so none of our votes truly matter anymore if that small group of like 5 people doesn’t think it should be funded, which has been most things. They claim it’s a “breakeven movement” but personally not buying it. A few are onboard with it but nouns does have a history with social engineering They showed up out of nowhere, took control of all votes, and recently voted to give themselves access to the main twitter I’m a crackpot tho so take all this with a grain of salt ⌐◨-◨
