I believe the best case scenario for an app like this is to actually not go too viral too early. Follow the Farcaster playbook for slower, “deliberate growth”. You can’t bet on people if you can’t depend on the platform. Initial activity is effectively betting on the platform short-term through the proxy of power law winning profiles. But if the platform survives long enough that most who know it start to suppose it will be around for a while, things get interesting. Short-term, speculative bets on the platform become more long-term, thesis-driven bets on the platform. And genuine bets on people you believe will become more popular or successful over time become practical when you’re confident that this platform is the platform for that.
