Id highly recommend everyone go door knocking for a campaign at least once. I did it yesterday (for Michael Lai, 10/10). Just like “talk to users”, talking to random people from the voter rolls is instantly clarifying.

Standard practice in all political campaigns: go door to door > talk to them or leave a flyer if nobody’s home. best case they’re a big fan and you sign them up to donate or volunteer

Worst case is them being very hostile. Or In a very heated political situation, maybe even physical violence may occur. It’s like a double edged sword. Could be good or not

a) you’re trained to avoid this and b) I’ve done this for a long time, in places where my candidate is far outnumbered, and I have never encountered physical violence. Stop watching Fox News, not everyone is a fanatic
