13/ Omiyage: Omiyage is a Japanese tradition of giving gifts after you’ve returned from a trip, but Hawaii ppl have expanded it to mean giving gifts for a variety of reasons. I bring omiyage - typically just some good snacks - to flight attendants, hotel front desk staff, and honestly anyone I encounter in my travels who brought a smile to my day or helped me in any way.
