travelers: if your global entry or tsa precheck or clear or your passport is about to expire, i highly recommend renewing it before the new year. 

in fact, if you require *any* federal government services whatsoever, i recommend getting whatever that is done before the end of the year. 

trump has laid out a clear plan to decimate federal agencies via D.O.G.E, so if you thought govt services were slow before, you're in for a big reality check. 

also - don't forget - there are tons of credit cards that will cover your global entry sign up fee. don't leave $$ on the table!
