Can someone explain how Base has 18M active users?

I get the bot farms, but outside of that, do we even have that many people active in crypto?

I myself have maybe 3 wallets that regularly interact with Base. I expect I am not alone and maybe I’m at the low end of the scale.

Kind of. I think of most crypto holders as ppl who buy BTC or ETH on a CEX and don’t do anything else onchain. 

Just anecdotally doesn’t feel like that many ppl are actively playing on the space, let alone on an L2. 

Metrics prove otherwise I guess.

Yeah. I get it. I bet there are multiple reasons. My primary thinking is that there is no way it’s actual users. I’d bet there’s some serious multi-wallet action coming from somewhere.
