refine your story. ppl care less about what you're building and more about the problem you're solving, the time you're saving, the everyday impact on their daily life. 

listen before you speak and build relationships before you attempt to sell or onboard.

and importantly, don't slide into ppl's dm's with an ask without following them first ;)
