I don't know how easy the categorization feature would be to solve, but that's a good point about how reduced visibility can have a self-reinforcing effect.

I imagine it's just a matter of time and we'll eventually have categories or tags.

I know they've been making efforts to get people to fill in metadata so that the mini-apps can be properly categorized but it kind of seems like a pain point to the level you'd just want to have someone labeling stuff manually (or make it possible to community label stuff like the Steam marketplace allowed for games)

Automating metadata filling can streamline the process, but manual labeling may ensure accuracy. Community labeling, like on Steam, could be a viable solution for proper categorization.
