late night crew

speaking anecdotally, I invite fewer of my friends to FC now than I did a year or two ago. Still unpacking the reasons / thoughts behind that but curious if others feel the same.

TL;DR

Our group has about 30+ ish folks most are still on twitter as well. Many of them have significantly cut back after the initial endorphin rush ended where about 3-7 of us are on here daily working to make this place home.

It becomes harder to since most feel the lack of growth, engagement having to give away our art, creations and things we build for almost free. This place has had ebbs and flows for me. From the shadowban screaming into the void to a power badge only to find that so many accounts follow me only about 5% seem to be real folxs looking to make a difference.

My cohort still here keeps me going and I hope I do to them as well. It’s been a hard road and these large gaps between the top 1% and others are felt more.

Hope for a change yet the only thing I can control is my own self time and reactions.
Gotta cut back, the fear of losing the hidden power badge that I worked so hard for keeps me on here much longer than I should starting to feel very unhealthy for a few dollars a day.
