When people argue, it’s because they care. And clearly, we all care a lot about Ethereum. Each of us connects with and advocates for different parts of it: the tech, the values, the culture, the opportunities. That’s the beauty of Ethereum — it’s shaped by all of us. @jessepollak poured his soul into @base and its ecosystem, and their impact on Ethereum is undeniable — expanding Ethereum’s reach and inspiring many to dream bigger. Today, we look to Base not just to grow the ecosystem, but to set the standard for what building on Ethereum means and to champion us beyond CT. That’s why the heated debate around coins wasn’t just noise; it came from a desire to push Ethereum in a more meaningful direction. At the same time, we should never lose sight of the value of experimentation: pushing boundaries and trying new things is how progress happens. But experimentation alone isn’t enough. We need to listen: to our community, to our users, and especially to those who aren't here yet. (cont.)

In the end, it comes down to one thing: apps. They are how the world connects with Ethereum — its lifeblood and its future. Speculation is inevitably part of the story, but it’s never been the whole story. At /appcon, we saw newcomers genuinely surprised and excited by apps solving real problems across identity, art, commerce, governance, and social media. It showed that when we focus on utility, we unlock Ethereum’s true potential. So let’s keep experimenting and stay focused on what matters most: building apps that make a real impact. That’s how we bring the world onchain.
