my australian accent has been permanently rekt by being in the states for 7 years

this thing happens where you start to warp your accent so it’s understood, because you know if you say it normally it’ll be misunderstood. 

i’m in this weird messy middle where I still sound aussie to americans but sound weird to aussies.

probably 6 months with enough beer, cricket and time in the sun. 

the accent is easy to copy if you just pretend you’re squinting because it’s so fucking bright.

how long would it take being in australia for me to develop an aussie accent
