design has always played a big role in how zora has been presented to the world. I would loosely characterize it as more edgy than most crypto products, with a clearly defined vibe that reminds me of post-internet art (cory arcangel, constant dullaart, petra cortright, DIS, hito steyerl, jon rafman, many others) as well as the history of video art and documentary filmmakers like adam curtis. I guess what I’m saying is that I see these references in subtle ways that suggest to me that the people behind this protocol/app are culturally informed. why are aesthetics (or dare I use the word “taste”) important to the zora vision?

i think when you are building something you have some responsibility to make it as beautiful (at least to yourself) as possible. I also personally just find a lot of joy and energy expressing through pixels, words and images. Zora is my life's work and bringing my aesthetic preferences to it is part of the joy of it.
