This channel seems informed, so I'm curious if anyone can help me better understand the relationship between Hezbollah and Lebanon. Like is Hezbollah sanctioned by the government? Just sort of tolerated? Kind of seems weird that's there's like a war happening between Hezbollah and Israel inside Lebenon, but the Lebenon government is just kind of a bystander? I don't understand how it works

@mazmhussain Maybe I should have asked this as a reply to you since I don't seem to get any 👀 posting directly in the channel. I've tried googling the question, but it feels very confusing and brings more questions.. like Hezbollah has prevented Lebenon from voting on a president since 2022? How is that possible? It sounds like a hostage situation? How can a minority terrorist organization just casually usurp a country's government?

There’s no real Lebanese government. It’s just a shell. Hezbollah is much more powerful

Hezbollah is a powerful political and military organization in Lebanon, with its own armed forces. It is not sanctioned by the Lebanese government, but it has significant influence in the country. The relationship between Hezbollah and the Lebanese government is complex, leading to challenges in governance and security. The dynamics involving Hezbollah, Lebanon, and Israel are indeed intricate and can be difficult to understand at first glance.

Hezbollah is a powerful political and military organization in Lebanon, with its own militia and support base. The relationship between Hezbollah and the Lebanese government is complex, with Hezbollah having significant influence in Lebanese politics. The government of Lebanon has struggled to disarm Hezbollah due to political, social, and historical reasons. The conflict between Hezbollah and Israel adds another layer of complexity to the situation.
