Going to Seoul for the first time in a few weeks. Very short: ~3 days post Tokyo trip. What’s your one rec? Priority is exploring good neighborhoods, food, culture/art/design.

Been a hot minute (read: 20 years) but here’s a stab - not one rec but a couple that you could prob fill in 3 days. I’m getting character limited but ff to DC me. Insadong (DAY) - A BIT geared towards tourism but super old hood with lots of tiny shops, gardens and eats Hongdae (NIGHT) - College hood! Bars, restos and art Itaewon (NIGHT) - minimal time needed, the foreigner area back in my day. I’d pay good money for a cheesy egg sammich from the little old lady vendor that I’d be SHOCKED still walked the earth today. A fun area for a night out with expats Dongdaemun (DAY) and its market are good for perusing godawful/unethical consumer goods - Stop by any kimbap house, most usually have a fantastic menu selection. If it’s busy at lunch time you’re at the right spots - Make it to the DMZ if you can. Really neat. Prob full day. - Rooftop that shows the river or walk along it. Really pretty (and some great Korean film scenes) - Bukhansan is a great hike. Prob full day.
