But also why should WE care?

This is the bread and butter for the topics you choose to write about. Don’t overthink it. Write about what you know well and teach us something about it. Doesn’t have to be from the point-of-view of the expert. Trying something and talking through your learnings contributes to the topic.

Relating this back to Farcaster rewards.. target topics that top casters care about. If they are interacting with your casts, you will make more money (and friends).

How to improve your leaderboard ranking

1. Choose a niche to a top 1% caster on Farcaster today and try to have one extra thoughtful cast a day (like a mini blog post)

2. More generally, cast *a lot* (many times a day); doesn't need to be about the above niche

3. Use catchy, brief titles, see @balajis

4. Make your casts text-heavy

5. Write text in short paragraphs (2-3 lines max); avoid wall of text

6. Include one embed only (link/image/video)

7. Engage: Reply to comments

8. Direct message followers your most important posts

9. Create niche-focused group chats and post links to your casts to help kickstart engagement
