Channels update will be a major one for being seen on the timeline

If you’re new here (relatively) it’s important to go follow and contribute to your favorite channels. In the longer term this will phase out the spam labeling changes

1. Everyone can cast in their own timeline, goes out to your followers

2. If you're not a member of channels, you don't even see the UI

3. People who find another person interesting will inevitably get invited to channels.

How can I maximize distribution for my casts?

TL;DR — don't overthink it, just cast and if you feel inspired to add a channel, do so.

1. Cast in your timeline it goes to your followers

2. Cast in a channel, it goes to your followers *and* will appear on the channel page (but few people click through to them). No algo boost.

So a marginal benefit, but the Warpcast algo DOES NOT treat channel casts differently
