Hey Degens, what’s your take on channels like /ventures? Should $DEGEN really flow into spaces with no substance, weak moderation, unoriginal posts, and no clear content policy? In your opinion, what makes a channel worth supporting?

Tbh, a lot of people (myself included) go into several channels, and don't participate. I like to have a diverse feed. And I don't clean my channels that often. I was not banned now but banning everyone who is a member of a channel (regardless of it being a low effort or not) is IMO using a too broad of a brush.

Imo, it's your decision to ban, but as per the rule, there were 15 afaik! Idk how i got banned , and i was in the /to-me, yet I've not farmed like farmers!!

i'm not familiar with ventures, to-me, easypaid or any of those channels that got filtered out. i have seen screenshots from casts in easypaid, and yes, it looked spammy. but in the end, everyone can stake their tokens and basically tip where and who they want. don't you think you are blocking a new wave of degens?

do you filter to create a ban list based on membership in certain channels? as you probably know, many (including me) might be a member of those suspicious channels without even realizing it, especially since the channel revamped last year and membership became a thing... back to your question, i haven't engaged with /venture channel..so i can't say much...

If it’s in line with the theme of the channel. For example I expect to see lots of awesome art and photos in those channels and not reposts of degen frames

I'm not familiar with this channel, it's the first time I've heard about it. However, I think it is difficult to objectively determine which content is of quality and which is not. What for me may be an interesting feed and worthy of a tip at the moment, for another person it may not have the same value and seem irrelevant. Not all of us here are great creators, but we trust and support the growth of Degen and Warpcast. Even so, I think there are many people who have been mislabeled, which can be unfair or discouraging.

With the new channel policy that was updated a few months ago, it is impossible to post in something interesting. Many people cannot post in channels freely, or a paid subscription is required, or the moderators decide that they only have a select circle. This is not fair, so people go to channels where everyone is accepted and where you can have fun chatting and yes, some can post nonsense, not everyone knows how to beautifully run pages and express their thoughts

Hi, @jacek ! I follow dozens of channels every day, buy a subscription, look for different options, try to meet different people! The /ventures channel never demanded tips from me, subscription fees, here I found several hundred friends who will always help with advice and support, it’s not a farm, it’s a family!

north star: does [this particular action under consideration] empower the community to reward quality content creators I dunno if taking tips away was meant as a warning shot, or as a "I have moved straight to the end" maneuver. Am confused, and I support thoughtful goalpost shifting in the interest of what you think is needed to grow the ecosystem. This discussion can be useful. In my opinion as a smol hodler, there is room to support for a channel that provides an easy on-ramp to $degen tipping. Perhaps this community needs to be guided towards "quality" content, and perhaps it needs to be right-sized (although I thought vault stake quantity solves cleanly for this).

1. If there is a method you do not want, you must set rules in advance and systematically prevent it. 2. Someone can write quality content on a particular channel. However, it is not right for someone to take back all the tips they received from a certain channel just because you don't like it. And Is it possible to tip low-quality content on the degen channel? (What are the criteria for high-quality and low-quality content? 3. If you really want everyone to tip only good quality content, why invest degen and is there a 3 month lockup? Of course, a few can do that, but most people buy degen to make money. If not, wouldn't it be better to buy another coin? 4. Why are you moving towards a more centralized approach? Don't make everyone afraid to buy degen. @jacek
