1/3 Degen Grants & Airdrop 3 – Need Feedback! We want Airdrop 3 to fund Degen builders through a structured grant system. We’ll post Statements of Work (SOW), devs will submit proposals & qualifications, and the community votes on who gets the bounty. Voting power is based on $DEGEN or locked $DEGEN. Thoughts?

Instead of multiple devs competing for the same task, the community selects the best proposal, and the chosen dev gets to work. Are there platforms that support this model? this is exactly what degen needs: a fair, transparent funding that empowers real builders. to make it even stronger, adding community AMAs or short videos where devs pitch their ideas could make voting more interactive and engaging. this keeps things fun while ensuring the best builders get the support they need.

Cool experiment. My feedback would be run it in ~3 waves as you’ll learn a lot from the first run and can iterate. DAO grants are hard to get a good ROI without iterating. (I helped run Aave Grants for its first few years)

Interesting idea 🤔 There are some undefined questions : 1- devs and builders can be anyone or selected by the Degen team and the community just can vote about them and the projects ? 2- the projects if it helps the $DEGEN growth is enough or also should benefit the community and holders (lockers) , I mean what's the priority in the projects ? 3- tipping game is over ? (I'm sure huge number of people wanna know the answer of this one 😆)

I love this direction! What you're looking for can easily be done with Votecaster.io (from @vocdoni). This also includes vote delegation, universally verifiability for the voting process, and the possibility of sending DMs to token holders on Farcaster when there is a vote. Among any other features. And if we can find the way, there could also be an opportunity to move to Frames v2 to have in-app notifications. Lemme know if you wanna talk, I can showcase you what we have and talk how it can serve this usecase!

I’ve been a member of a few DAOs and they all slowly died due to too much process. I’d be careful here. Some other problems I’ve experienced: - Large holders sway votes - Getting people to vote is not easy - There’s no major incentive to vote Could chat w @seneca on how Nouns works though - they seem to be building strong/cycle-agnostic

Many of us don’t Dev, but we add positive impact to the ecosystem through education, entertainment, onboarding, helping create or facilitate running dao’s, or support public social goods in various ways from a passion of growing the space & moving foreword with a positive ethos… would be cool to have a way to reward some of those people’s hard work with “DEGEN grants”, even if not technically “building” blockchain protocols or tools, it’s still building in the space in my opinion…
