The fall out from the last minute rules change and the unfair banning hit the artist community hard. A lot of people lost faith and trust. Especially when they could see blatant, large scale farming still going on. A lot of people withdrew from the vault and with the huge reduction in allo overall there was far less tips going around so the momentum dropped off. For me personally, I have been more concerned about tipping the same person too much. I like to reward those that share a lot of content in my channels, I also like to do fun things with my allo to reward hypersub subscribers. The fear of being banned has put a damper on all these activities. It's hard when you opperate within a small community.

I guess it will be a popular answer - many users are now scared of getting banned as there are no clear guidelines on what is considered farming, and what is not.

Too many restricting tipping rules, too many frequent changes to the rules and complete lost of trust my $degen was safe being locked because of those reasons. If I agree to terms and lock tokens, but the terms change before the end of locking which affects my ability to receive tips or tanks the price then its hard to trust my money is safe. It stopped being fun when we started being stressed about losing our tips just for wanting to support fellow artists who support us. Im not gonna calculate who i tipped every day.

all users who have farmed through the system on degenchain are still part of the game. they are still farming the system even if it has been reduced. Because the rules you put in place do not prevent farming. It's only for certain small accounts. But all the big accounts are still active. Also, leaving aside the emotional ties, there is nothing attractive in terms of return. There are no bases on which I can invest and take risks. There's no guarantee you won't change the rules. If you have 3 months of locked tokens, you need rules that won't change for 3 months. In addition, with the realization of expectations with the listing, it no longer holds any further expectations. There is nothing left except the Binance spot listing. narrative shifted elsewhere. The market maker's artificially generated price movements make trading easier for those who notice them, while spot traders are only demoralized.

Not banning all the artists I have been tipping for a whole month would have been nice. That was very demotivating.

and in addition to those, your reward approach is, i guess, part of marketing. But in my opinion is not working. I don't remember if the community was asked about the decision to give such an award, but I think your distribution of awards via warpcast is wrong. Instead of rewarding accounts in the warpcast, it is more useful to reward those who contribute directly to degen. It is better to do this in a way that attracts not only those from warpcast but also those in X.

The events of the last season made it so that when i tipped someone, fewer people even gave an act! I feel like that sense of engagement and appreciation has faded!!!

tipping gradually became less fun when people used it to farm engagement, which was quite early on initially, it was really fun because the only way to get a big tip was from the very earliest supporters. like a welcome to farcaster type beat but I've never stopped tipping content i like to see on fc. just don't make a habit of it

I'll start by saying that the idea of typing and earning from content while using a social network is brilliant and a cornerstone in the development of these platforms. As a user, I want to point out that my Degen is currently locked, but on April 1st, I will have to decide whether to lock it for another three months. I hope that in the next season, the Allowance will increase because, at its current level, it does not motivate me to use it. My case might be isolated, but two seasons ago, I locked a certain amount of Degen because I had a rough estimate of how much Allowance I would receive. Additionally, I was motivated to keep locking what I earned. At the end of January, the rules changed, and my Allowance was reduced five times without giving me the freedom to decide whether to continue or withdraw my Degen. I believe there should be a balanced solution (a golden mean) between the locked Degen and Allowance, and I hope you will find it.

It has been fun for a long time, it doesn’t need to be as fun as it once was actually, we have to take it more serious and down to business People are for sure scared of getting banned still, but what everyone wants most is for when prices go up and we’re all happy ;)

First of all is lack of motivation for the project (tips) if there are last minute rules that are retro-active and not from that moment on, 2 - if tips are controlled feature or a free feature for any user who vault his/her degens to get tips instead of $$$ interests 3 - Now my question to you >> Why in a decentralised system is relevant what a user does with their assets ??? If a tip an user (with my earned tips , because this is the system we have now) because I like their cast, their work, to welcome arrival to WC, or because I just wanto to give some degens to a friend why I should care what he/she will do with that $$$$ ?

DEGEN cuts and price impact are for sure a factor but the last minute change of rules last season with many friends loosing their DEGEN are the main factor and made it way less attractive

The truth is, I usually tip to people who return it to me, or vice versa. I’m always worried about breaking the rules, and that fear might discourage me from doing it.
