1/ Let’s Talk About Expectations in the DEGEN Community As we continue building DEGEN together, I think it’s important to address something fundamental: what we should expect from one another. Right now, DEGEN is one of the only platforms where someone can earn hundreds of dollars with almost no authentic engagement—just by reposting low-effort or spammy content. Platforms like Google Ads or Twitter would never allow that kind of behavior to be monetized, and it raises an important question for us as a community: why should we?

Must be a daunting task to combat. But whatever is happening now is banning a lot of good people & that isn’t good for anyone.

Define good—good as in they’re making money on platforms like Twitter or Instagram but can’t monetize on Farcaster through DEGEN? Or good as in they post on Farcaster, so they automatically deserve to get paid? If you feel strongly, you can always drop a raindrop to support them and boost their visibility.

Me and my fellow artist @trapers have been punished by taking away our allo few days ago, as we figured, because tipping each other too much, but he didn't even hit 15 times. We're just artists, but we have been building the /quote-art community here, and @trapers - the Weird Klub community, both featuring the best artists in this space, and each of us has organized a couple of collective drops for these communities, and we are just putting together the next ones. Not sure if we are also banned, but it feels our visibility has dropped, and it's gonna be very hard to promote the collective drops in this situation, it actually feels very disouraging to keep using this platform... As much as I understand your concern about spammy behaviors - me and @trapers are not the case...

Please don’t think I have any viable answers for what these bans seek to do/undo. I am just a caveman. But I can tell you that many people I know have unjustly received a spammer ranking. They’re engaging. Yeah maybe reposting crap but no one is obligated to tip them, right? So how would they make money then?
