GE i’ve shifted from a naive globalist to a staunch American patriot over the last 2 years. i’m not an imperialist but i would deffo build systems to protect our way of life and world view - liberty, education, and social mobility. we have our issues to iron out but i believe in us maybe a spicy take idk

I wish there was a block button like in the blue bird. Patriotism is for me a form of racism.

sorry to hear that Native. it felt risky and weird to use the word “patriot” for sure so i can understand that sentiment. i don’t mean it in a warring way, but that i do like my country despite all the flaws

this is a new opinion for me and one that feels more based in reality than my previous semi dislike / embarrassed feeling about America that was kind of over indexed and critical. choosing optimism about the country 🤷‍♂️ anyway, open to discussion if you have more thoughts to share

The word itself may be triggering, but core values of Patriotism involve loving your country + the desire to improve other citizens’ quality of life. I think it’s healthy, and I’m glad you feel comfortable sharing takes and opinions that you wouldn’t on the bird app :)
