LinkedIn recently (and quietly) added this data tracking setting and turned it on by default for everyone. 

It’s a dark pattern that and some of their own employees have been calling them out (link below).

If you prefer not to give away all of your data to LinkedIn’s new product development efforts, you can and should opt out.

I noticed a bunch of companies just doing it first before they get caught by GDPR. Figma, Slack, Facebook,.. They all started training AI and got caught during or after the fact. Facebook only gave people 2 weeks to opt out and moved the location of the button every day. Was crazy.
