i like how durov in the interview repeats that people are smart and that's why they switch to telegram for privacy when in fact it is the polar opposite: people are stupid enough to believe that the only popular messenger without e2ee is somehow "private" your tg messages are stored on the servers in plain text

let me rephrase: i don’t use messenger i imagine i do know people who use messenger lol but i don’t know they do bc i don’t use it im thinking about the main crypto collective messenger which is still TG

assume everything you say on telegram to be public, that's how i use it it's ok to use unencrypted means of communication when it's good ux (e.g., group dc's here) but everyone who values privacy has switched their important communications to signal or other means
