who was a pivotal person that changed the trajectory of your professional career? for me it was my design mentor, David T, in boulder, who ultimately got me into google in SF via referral who's your David T? there is no /icebreaker without meeting him at my internship π₯²

For me, it was Rachel. I had worked at a non-profit for a couple years and had no discernible technological skills, knowledge, or experience. She hired me anyway and thatβs how I got into tech.

Nope. I had applied through Craigslist. Didnβt hear back, so I just showed up at the office like a maniac. I asked to talk with whomever did the job stuff. Turns out the email they had used for that was busted and we talked for a while. No idea why she actually hired me, but I assume it had something to do with my initiative.
