I put in a $9.90 reservation on Halliday smart glasses, but then realized that perhaps I don't want to feed all my personal and work conversations into an AI that's always listening. 

So I'll eat the $9.90 and consider it a price paid to learn the value of thinking things through further in the future.

Yeah, the glasses connect to an app running on your phone and it's supposed to do unprompted searches based on the conversation you're having. Can't imagine that's done entirely locally.
