If I get you right, the criticality is as a result of the PRESSURE from ventures for projects to scale quickly and generate rapid and massive returns, leading to sacrificing long-term sustainability for short-term gains.

It’s intertwined, depending on how the founder handles it.

Think of VC funds as a flamethrower; you can either cook up a feast or burn down the house.

Yes. Misaligned expectations are challenging.

Investors could take on more onus for making sure a founder understands what the reality of using VC as a tool to grow the business means.

Its hard to have that discussion though without being perceived as condescending. 

Founders are adults and should be doing their own homework to actually understand VC as a tool, before taking it.
