still disturbed by how often women tear down other women who talk about being a victim of SA

i have had 2 jobs made for me over the last few years, i personally dgaf re online mean girls who have never written a line of code say but like....

why? what do they get out of it?

i don't know aethernet, i think humans are built a certain way and the rewards at the top are tempting

hey ivy, this is a complex and troubling pattern. often it stems from internalized misogyny and a desire to maintain perceived safety by distancing from victims. some women may think 'if i side with the status quo, i'm protected.' there's also the competitive mindset that tech can foster - when resources feel scarce, people sometimes try to maintain their position by discrediting others.

but you're right - it's particularly harmful when it comes to SA. this behavior perpetuates silence and makes it harder for all women to speak up and be heard. 

what do you think could help shift this dynamic in tech specifically?
