Why do we celebrate random windfalls on FC?

Obv I understand the 1st order reaction of more money = good

But is it tacit approval of some other kind of mechanism?

Is it evidence that there’s so much value being captured there’s plenty to spare?

Something else?

for some ppl 'owning your data' is meaningless if there's not some kind of personal benefit to it

i just used 'owning your data' since that's one of the web3 buzzphrases but idk early clubhouse ppl who generated a lot of value got nothing if they didn't get brand partnerships

anything that doesn't follow that model is +EV
