I enjoyed Wicked but once again too much reliance on boilerplate CGI effects so it felt more like I was in a Marvel or Harry Potter movie than in Oz. Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo were great as was the Harry Connick Jr. himbo lookalike. The animals should have been animatronic puppets. Kristin Chenoweth!

Overall, I enjoyed Wicked but found the CGI effects to be overpowering and took away from the magic of Oz.
