The SEC has lost its way and no longer pursues its primary goals of investor protection, capital formation, & maintaining fair & orderly markets. It is run by a wholly political bureaucrat who is captured by a small subset of very loud politicians. It does not have the jurisdiction or authority to pursue Uniswap…

and it will be eviscerated at the Supreme Court, but not before costing taxpayers and private companies and people hundreds of millions of dollars in attorneys’ fees. Its evisceration will make it a far weaker agency that is less able to actually protect investors and do good work.

Part of me thinks the only reason for these lawsuits is to set precedent for building a framework of how to deal with this kind of thing. Optimistic, I know.
