As we dive more into Empathy, I want to share one of my favorite apps for mental health, Calm (Yes, shameless HR/Benefits manager plug). Here are 8 recommended exercises to practice empathy. Share your thoughts with me on the below. 1. Practice mindfulness to build awareness 2. Be curious about other people’s experiences 3. Listen with your full attention 4. Pay attention to non-verbal clues 5. Question your biases and what you ‘think’ you know 6. Ask questions instead of making assumptions 7. Ask for feedback 8.
