a gay mans just came up to me in trader joe’s & said verbatim “oh my good. your skin. drop that routine king” so i told him “i haven’t washed my face in over a decade“ he was appalled as he probably spends $200 a month on his face (his skin looked fine) so let me now share the truth with you (i don’t wash my face) preface: 1) everyone’s skin is different; what works for me may not work for you: you need to experiment 2) diet is the biggest factor >i cleanse my face maybe 6 times a year; usually only if i was out in the garden or in lake water, etc. >i use a $10 hyaluronic acid almost daily which contains vitamins B & E (for leveling tone) >i use squalene oil almost daily (squalene is a derivative of olive oil with a size much closer to face oil = better absorption) >i only buzz my face; never shave >i exfoliate only as needed >i get 20 mins of morning sun; do 20 mins in steam room; followed by ice cold shower (daily) >i take biotin (d) >i don’t ever take scorching hot showers

also: if i’m in a deep sprint & my sleep is shit & my eyes are blacked out - i will sometimes use a vitamin C/caffine/green tea eye cream in the mornings also: if you have a big expensive routine & cold quit/stop washing your face abruptly, you will likely breakout - you need to get through this phase; your face is just over compensating bc you’ve killed its natural barrier every night for many years now - trust the process; your body is a miracle

Cold shower really helps a lot. In the summer i try and it's magical. I have a bit of problem with biotin lol my nail grows like hell. And recently added ear hair ( is it call that lol ) which could be related to age too lol but i want to put the blame on the pills 😂
