i’m generally pretty acoustic-proof to these kind of things, but i’m having a hard time coming to terms with this one specifically because i didn’t do anything wrong & there was nothing i could have done to change her mind (not that i would want to, knowing what i know now) all i did was start a company. its obvious that i have no control over my parents money & it’s wild to hold that against someone despite her endless flaws, i gave her everything unconditionally & always took her at face value, yet somehow i lose her to a (current) conditional clause something something about supporting someone when they’re not at their best, so you can deserve them when they are and fwiw, my current financial situation is not by any means struggling so i just can’t place what this was all about… dodged a bullet, i suppose… onward

bro that is so hard, idk what to tell ya except that i am sorry, and people are always at different places in life - it's ok for you to be at the start of building something, investing in a new effort, and working on growing yourself (thru growing your biz) it's also gotta be hard to see it like this rn, but simultaneously it's ok for her to be in a spot where she doesn't want to wait around for that kind of growth, too shortsighted to see that a partner is someone you grow through life with, or too impatient to see it thru. maybe she's big-picture on the way to learning a lesson that the value of a flower starts with the seedling and the sprout. i hope you find someone who knows the value of a relationship comes from the wins you earn together, and getting to watch your partner level up through their own battles, day over day. not necessarily a villain origin story, loss like this can spur healthy and beautiful growth, you're just a snake shedding dead skin. enjoy this next phase, you'll do great things.
