What happened to all the Clanker competitors?

Larry, Onsen, Bogus, Launcher, etc.

Feels like the devs have stopped working on these projects already (or at the very least, stopped posting about them)

i said this when they launched & i’ll say it again: cloning products on a protocol that has no distribution will never work 

there simply is no one to sell your “differentiated” cake too & the bakery you’re selling in does not advertise 

it’s almost always better to help create THE cake in hopes that it becomes renowned & people come to the bakery specifically for THAT cake

it doesn’t matter that yours is chocolate when theirs is vanilla; new flavors won’t sell if there’s no one to sell them to

i don’t know about you but i know several 50+ year old bakeries that command lines out their doors every weekend specifically for their singular famous baked good 

the rest of the goods are smaller add-ons & giveaways that make the experience marginally better with each visit but don’t drive traffic & can’t survive without THE cake

Do you think they should charge a small fee in $clanker or something to create? Or no point since they collect fees on everything so for them more useless nonsense is better than less?
