Got to play the Marine World expansion for Ark Nova last night. I particularly like the variety of alternate action cards…makes for some fun combos!

There are some neat combos in there, and it didn't feel like it overcomplicated anything or brought anything significantly different to the overall mechanics (which some game expansions can do to the detriment of game play). I like it.

The animals action card allowed me to play an animal (ignoring requirements) that got me another worker, and the association action card allowed me to use it at a 5 and unlock another worker. So, 3 workers on turn 1...pretty great. By round 2, I was performing 3 associate actions, and using an extra worker to hit at 2 higher (if needed). @v
