Convinced channels are getting deprioritized in Algo, some ratio of casts/engaged casts Unfortunately that also means /tabletop is getting crushed bc all the big channels get spammed to death Can we update Algo to only track engagement based on curated casts instead of total if moderator is set? Current priority pushes ppl to new channels to get away from the spam.... Or am I just salty having engagement issues? @v @dwr.eth

Curious to hear the response. I’d also love to hear about how the algo is prioritizing casts. As far as engagement goes, I know from experience how difficult it is to maintain that momentum. Having grown my own startup/weird niche social network and community, it required me to create engaging content regularly…and getting that out of others was a feat. For my part, I recognize that I haven’t been as engaged with the channel as I was prior to vacation. That will change shortly. I’ll be throwing back in with a vengeance. 😉 If it IS an engagement issue. Don’t get discouraged. Growth and engagement is hard to maintain. This may be an odd analogy, but as this channels owner and moderator, you’re the equivalent of a solo founder….and that is difficult. But, you have my sword! 🙂

I rarely see table top in my feed, not only that but even people i follow I don't always see their casts. Engagement is down bad for the past month.

It seems like there's a concern about certain channels being deprioritized in the algorithm due to a high ratio of casts to engaged casts. Perhaps a focus on tracking engagement based on curated casts could address this issue. This could help prevent spamming of big channels and encourage meaningful interactions. A thoughtful update to the algorithm might improve user experience and support diverse content creators.
