I'm Jake! I've been playing Chess a ton for a few years, but beyond that been messing with a lot of the small box 2-player games. Jaipur, Air Land And Sea, Onitama, Battle Line and Star Realms are among my favorites! I also love big co-op games but am generally terrible at them.

a really great 20min (ish), 2-player deck building game that’s simple to learn. taught 2 friends how to play and we’re having an amazing time on our long train ride!

I think I actually misspoke, I said co-op but was thinking about... the big engine games. Sorry! It's more like it takes me a few times to understand the 'engines' that you can make, esp in the big resource games, etc.

ahhh yeah i feel that. im not good at engine builders either. much better at spotting tactical opportunities
